Biography

Dr Yagya Raj Pant is a dedicated educator and development practitioner with over two decades of experience across education, health, and community/international development sectors. Before joining MIT, he served as a lecturer at the New Zealand School of Education and Tribhuvan University, Nepal. As an education advisor at the United Mission to Nepal, he led education, child rights, disaster risk reduction, and health-focused programmes.

He works as an Academic Lecturer at Manukau Institute of Technology, where he coordinates and delivers relevant subjects to nursing students.

He has a strong interest in pastoral care and supporting diverse learners to succeed, especially those from migrant and underrepresented communities. He is passionate about building inclusive, resilient learning systems and carries out collaborative research in education and development.
